SoftSwiss, a leading provider of cryptocurrency gambling, has announced its acquisition of the majority stake in Turfsport, a prominent supplier of multi-channel betting software for lotto, horse racing, and sports in South Africa. The move reflects SoftSwiss’ commitment to expanding its global presence.
Although the financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, SoftSwiss stated that the purchase will enhance its product portfolio and enable it to enter additional regulated markets. With over 35 years of experience, Turfsport has provided fully managed end-to-end solutions for retail, mobile, and online operators. The company’s software is used by over 40 operators in the regulated South African market for sports wagering, lotto, and horse racing, with customers placing over 1.5 billion wagers annually across various platforms.
Andrey Starovoitov, co-CEO of SoftSwiss, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating that it provides an efficient and rapid way for the company to expand into the South African and African markets. He emphasized the region’s growing importance globally and the value of gaining access to technologies developed by specialists over the past 35 years.

SoftSwiss will provide further details about the acquisition and its plans for the South African market at the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) 2024, scheduled to take place from February 6th to 8th at ExCeL London. The company plans to showcase its presence at Stand N8-231 during the event.
