Silverton and Circa Sports Team Up to Launch New Sportsbook

A well-known Las Vegas sports wagering operator, Circa Sports, will be taking over the Silverton Casino Lodge sports wagering operation at an interim location set to open on January 1. The interim location, Circa’s Sportsbook, will be a 1600-square-foot permanent sportsbook located beside the parking garage of the resort. The existing Silverton sportsbook where Circa’s Sportsbook will be located is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to officially open in March 2024.

While the existing sportsbook is closed for renovations, Circa Sports will take over operations at an interim location beside Shady Grove Bar and Lounge. This location will feature 2 self-service wagering kiosks, 2 wagering windows, and 4 screens showing odds, with the biggest games of the day accessible in the adjacent bar.

Last month, the Nevada Gaming Commission officially approved Circa’s bid to manage a satellite sportsbook at the Silverton. CEO of Circa Sports, Derek Stevens, expressed excitement about the venture, stating, “As a Vegas-born venture, Circa Sports is thrilled to be working with a beloved local property like Silverton to launch our first southwest Las Vegas book.”

Once renovations are complete, the refurbished sportsbook will provide a Daktronics screen for bettors to watch games from all major sports leagues and other streaming services, as well as a variety of seating options, betting kiosks, wagering windows, bar-top games, betting sheet racks, and odds boards.

President of Silverton Casino, Rob Kunkle, expressed enthusiasm for Circa Sports’ new sportsbook, stating that it will give players one more reason to visit and frequent Silverton. Designated parking spots in Silverton’s parking garage will be reserved for Circa Sports bettors, and the sportsbook will tentatively be open from 8 AM to 10 PM per day, with possible additional hours during peak demand days.

In addition to the sportsbook refurbishment, Silverton recently underwent a $40 million refurbishment of the lodge rooms, and is set to open a $10 million courtyard and pool renovation in the early part of the next year. This renovation project includes cabanas, fire pits, poolside dining, and sports and movies at the pool.
