New Executives Join Mohegan’s Corporate Leadership Team

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the well-known gaming and entertainment company based in Connecticut, has announced some major changes to its leadership team. Joffre Wells has been named the Vice President of Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and Corporate Treasurer, joining the company’s Executive team. Additionally, long-time employees Kelly Sullivan and Kelly Leung have been promoted to the firm’s Leadership team.

Joffre Wells brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Mohegan. Prior to joining the company, he worked for Brandywine Global in Philadelphia as a Global Macro Trader and at BlackRock in New York as a Global Rates Trader – Vice President. He holds an MS in Finance from Drexel University, an MBA in Management Information Systems, and a BBA in Finance from Temple University.

In his new role, Wells will be responsible for managing the firm’s capital planning, utilizing his expertise in foreign exchange hedging, interest rate management, and fixed income. He will also work on enhancing the company’s banking and investor relationships and supporting strategic projects in analysis, financial planning, accounting, and Team Member development.

Mohegan’s President & CEO, Ray Pineault, expressed his excitement about Wells joining the team, highlighting his leadership and financial expertise as a perfect fit for the organization.

Kelly Leung, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President of International Marketing, has been a key part of Mohegan Sun’s Asian Marketing efforts. In his expanded role, he will continue to be involved in marketing initiatives at Mohegan Sun while expanding his responsibilities across the company’s global portfolio, including properties in South Korea and Canada. With over 27 years of experience in the gaming and entertainment industry, Leung’s promotion reflects his dedication and expertise.

Similarly, Kelly Sullivan has also been recognized for her commitment and contributions to the company. She joined Mohegan in 2013 and has held various roles within the organization, focusing on career and leadership development, human resources, and global people operations. In her new position, she will lead and supervise the Corporate People Operations team, overseeing hiring, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and other internal business operations.

Both promotions are part of Mohegan’s efforts to strengthen its leadership team as it continues to grow and expand globally. The brand recently celebrated the soft opening of Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, marking an exciting time for the company. Ray Pineault emphasized that the promotions of Sullivan and Leung are well-deserved, highlighting the strong leadership at Mohegan as it looks ahead to new challenges and opportunities in the coming years.
