Full House Resorts, Inc. has revealed plans for an exciting new casino hotel in Cripple Creek near Colorado Springs. The new Chamonix Casino Hotel aims to bring a touch of luxury to the historic location, with a classic European style and elegant accommodations.
The hotel will boast 300 luxurious rooms, each featuring balconies with stunning views of Cripple Creek, Pikes Peak, and the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Situated just 45 miles from Colorado Springs and 80 miles from Denver, the resort will be connected to the popular Bronco Billy’s Casino, which is also owned by Full House Resorts.
This project marks an exciting expansion for Full House Resorts, a well-known casino developer and operator from Canada. The company first announced its plans for the Cripple Creek project in March 2021, revealing the name of the new casino at the same time.
The Chamonix Casino Hotel takes its name from the famous French resort, Queen of Alpine, which hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. This name is particularly fitting as the U.S. Olympic Committee and Training Center is located in Colorado Springs.
In addition to the luxurious hotel rooms, the new facility will feature a new casino floor with a wide selection of slot machines, as well as high-limit slot salon and elegant table game areas.
The casino is set to open on Wednesday, December 27, along with some of the hotel rooms and parts of the valet, garage, and parking. Guests can look forward to delicious meals at the temporary Chamonix Bistro restaurant and a buffet, with the remaining hotel rooms expected to open within a week. The company also plans to open a high-end 980 Prime restaurant in a month, with renowned chef Barry Dakake from Las Vegas at the helm. A luxury Italian restaurant, Firenze, is expected to open in spring.
But the hotel offers more than just gaming and dining options. Guests can also look forward to amenities like the Ore and Alloy jewelry and luxury retail store, Chamonix Spa with a rooftop pool and deck, a winter garden, workout room, massage rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and a full-service salon.
Baxter Lee, General Manager of Chamonix Casino Hotel, expressed excitement about the opening, describing Chamonix as a “special place, unlike any other casino hotel in the state,” offering a “high-end, Las Vegas experience in our beautiful Colorado mountain setting.” The team is eager to welcome guests from Colorado and beyond to experience the new casino hotel.
