Evolution Gaming Group has announced the acquisition of Livespins through its subsidiary, Evolution Malta Holding Ltd. The acquisition involves a cash payment of €5 million, as well as an earn-out consideration based on Livespins’ performance until 2026. This move aligns with Evolution’s “Product Leap” strategy and will enhance its iGaming portfolio with a new social category.
Livespins allows operators to offer players the chance to bet behind their favorite brand ambassadors, influencers, and streamers. The provider will be integrated into Evolution’s casino lobby through an Application Programming Interface (API), allowing players to place wagers and bet behind the streamer for a chance to win collectively.
Despite the acquisition, Livespins will continue to operate independently as a part of Evolution, joining other brands such as DigiWheel, Nolimit City, Big Time Gaming, and Red Tiger. The acquisition is expected to be finalized in the first half of the year, pending customary closing terms.
Chief Product Officer of Evolution, Todd Haushalter, expressed excitement about the acquisition, stating that playing along with a streamer is a new way to play online casino games. He highlighted the potential for players to engage with popular streamers and play alongside them directly from the Evolution lobby.
CEO of Livespins, Chris Scicluna, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Evolution, emphasizing the potential for the Livespins product to revolutionize the industry.
In addition to the acquisition of Livespins, Evolution has entered into an alliance with South African company Kiron Interactive to strengthen its presence in Africa.
These developments demonstrate Evolution Gaming Group’s commitment to expanding its offerings and enhancing its presence in key markets.
